I have not posted a blog since early May, which marked the end of our 2023-24 season. I was happy when Coach Pepe said she hoped I would return next year, but told her I wanted to take some time to give it some consideration. I gave it a lot of thought and within about ten days, I was able to tell her that I would love to return for the 2024-25 season.
In between a couple of trips to the Condo, Debi and I worked at Diana’s Lacrosse Camp at Nazareth for three days, and got to spend some time with her and Jon in Fairport. The camp was a success and a lot of fun to be a part of. Much of the rest of my summer was spent fixing things up around the house – in preparation for Karl and Elise’s after wedding party. The wedding and after party were both great!
After the wedding, we spent a week at the condo, decompressing and enjoying the great outdoors. On our way home we stopped in Newburgh for a visit with my Uncle Paul, which was great as always.

After returning to Long Island, it was just a few days before Lacrosse related activities at Molloy began. It felt great to be back at it!
Autumn has begun, the temperatures have dropped, and we are now in our third week of practices. Run and Lift Tests are done, and we are hard at work trying to shape this year’s version of the Lady Lions Lacrosse Team, into a Conference Champion. Between Transfers and Freshmen, we have thirteen new players! While these newcomers may lack experience, they have brought “Frenergy” (Fresh Energy) to the mix. We also have a slew of experienced upperclassmen, who are providing great leadership. Practices have been fast paced and very competitive. I know this year’s journey has just begun, but it is exciting to think about the potential we have this season, and I am grateful to be part of it. I hope you will come along for the ride.
