It has been more than two months since I have posted an entry (sounds like “Confession”, maybe it is in a way). Thanksgiving and Christmas have come and gone, and the New Year began a month ago, already. I made it up to the Condo two separate times and got a total of five days of Snowboarding in (not enough), and that will probably be it for this season.

While my snowboarding season may be over, the 2024 Season for the Molloy Women’s Lacrosse Team has begun! In fact, we have already been practicing for three weeks. We have endured some rough weather, but have gotten off to a good start. I think we all have high hopes for this season. We have many returning players and a number of promising newcomers. If we can put all of the pieces together, I think we can go farther than last year’s team!

Practices have been spirited and productive, and I feel as though we have made good progress, thus far. We have a scrimmage this Saturday (two days from now) at Dominican University (about an hour and a half drive), which will be a very good test for us, and a chance to actually measure our progress. The following Saturday we will scrimmage at Adelphi, another great opportunity for us to see where we are at. Our first game is only three weeks away, now. Last year’s Lady Lions generated lots of excitement and even some Magic! This year’s journey has begun, and I am looking forward to the ride! I hope you will come along.
