If I am not mistaken, the last time I posted an entry, was back at the end of July. I have been pretty busy since then, and many times, thought about writing something to post. But each time, I talked myself out of it, thinking that nothing I had been doing was all that interesting. Plus, how could they be called part of any “Lax Odyssey”? So, I opted not to write about our Epic trip to Alaska, my visits to the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame and the National Basketball Hall of Fame, and a number of other pretty cool things.
But on Friday the 13th, I got a Facebook message from Chris Fuger, who I had the pleasure of coaching for many years. I was so touched that he took the time to message his thanks to me for my role in bringing lacrosse to him.

So, as I continued working on the endless kitchen renovation, I began to think about how much coaching lacrosse has meant to me and how much I have gained by doing it. I have had the great pleasure to work with so many great young people and to get to know them and their families. Whatever I have been able to give to them, has always been my pleasure. I was fortunate to have some great coaches when I was growing up, and hope I have been able to be a positive influence, like they were for me.
It dawned on me, that my Lax Odyssey began long before I began this Blog last winter. In a way, I have been on it, since I was introduced to the game when I was in 4th Grade. So while I thought the “Lax Odyssey” ended with the end of the 2019 season, I am starting to think that this journey will continue, as long as I am still involved in the game. Thanks for helping me to see that, Chris.
